Patient Group

Very soon the practice will be setting up a group of patients who will occasionally be asked questions about the services the practice provides.  If you are interested in being part of this group please click on the words/icon Patient Group where more information is available

Contraception

The practice has now extended the range of contraception services we provide including fitting of coils and contraceptive implants (Nexplanon) by Dr Tanya Roy.  If you are interested in having a coil or contraceptive implant fitted please make an appointment with one of the Practice Nurses or Nurse Practitioners to discuss this, she we will then make an appointment with Dr Roy who will fit the coil or contraceptive implant.

For out of hours calls when the surgery is closed please ring 03001231144 -  this is the number of the Out of Hours GP Service at The Urgent Care Centre, Victoria Hospital Blackpool

Test Results
If you need to ring the surgery to check blood/smear/x-ray results, please ring 01253 823215 after 11:00am any morning.

Cancelling your Appointment
If you are unable to attend an appointment with one of the doctors or nurses, please telephone the surgery to cancel your appointment.

Repeat Prescriptions

pill_spillRepeat prescriptions are processed by computer so please use the computer slip(when appropriate) for reordering, and always quote your computer number, which can be found on the slip attached to your prescription.

There are four ways in which you can order your prescription:

  1. You are now able to order your repeat prescription 24 hours a day 7 days a week (including bank holidays), using our automated prescription service. Just telephone the usual prescription number and follow the prompts. You can also leave a message when the prescription line is busy instead of waiting to speak to a receptionist
  2. Bring the computer slip in personally and pop it in the repeat prescription box on the reception desk.
  3. Post your computer slip to us enclosing a stamped addressed envelope and we will return it to you.
  4. Or fill out the online prescription request in this Web Site.

Please remember to allow 2 working days wherever possible, before collecting your prescription. Prescriptions can be collected any time between 8.30 am and 6.00pm Monday to Friday.

On occasions you will be asked to see the doctor or nurse practitioner to review your medication.
