RGN BSc (Hons) in nursing studies, RCN Nurse Practitioner Certificate.
    

Nurse Practitioners are nurses with experience in primary care, who have undertaken further training in:-

  • Pharmacology

  • Clinical examination

  • Human health and disease

Wendy, Angela and Helen can see any patient who chooses to see her for any reason or condition. They have particular knowledge in:-

  • Women's health, ie smears, contraception, menopause

  • Heart disease

  • High blood pressure

  • Respiratory care, breathing problems

  • Diabetes management

  • Stroke management

  • Mental Health

They have been trained to carry out examinations, instigate tests and act as necessary.  If Wendy, Angela or Helen cannot deal with your problem they will refer you to, or discuss your problem with the GP with your consent.
